ACEEE

EDF supports the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting economic prosperity, energy security, and environmental protection.

ACORE

EDF is a member of the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), a nonprofit organization whose goal is to promote renewable energies. Focusing on trade, finance and policy, ACORE aims to bolster understanding of renewable energy issues and to boost collaborative research, education and communication initiatives. Its members include renewable energy actors, financial institutions, nonprofit groups, government agencies, professional service providers, universities and end-users.

APPA

EDF is an international associate of the American Public Power Association (APPA), the service organization for the nation's more than 2000 community-owned electric utilities that serve over 43 million American customers.

ASE

EDF is a member of Alliance to Save Energy, an organization which bolsters energy efficiency worldwide through partnerships and initiatives in policy, research, education, technology deployment, and communications. Its main goal is to promote energy efficiency worldwide in order to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment and greater energy security.

Brookings Institution

EDF is a member of the Corporate Council of the Brookings Institution, a Washington-based nonprofit public policy organization devoted to independent research and innovative policy solutions. For policy-makers and the media, the Brookings Institution provides quality research, policy recommendations, and analysis on a large range of public policy issues.

CASEnergy Coalition

EDF is a member of The CASE energy Coalition, an advocacy group that encourages greater use of nuclear energy for an environmentally clean, safe, affordable and reliable supply of electricity in the U.S. Co-chaired by Christine Todd Whitman, a former New Jersey Governor and a former Energy Protection Agency Administrator and Dr. Patrick Moore, Co-Founder, Former Leader of Greenpeace, the coalition brings together consumers, academics, health care advocates, labor organizations, business groups, professional organizations, environmentalists and community leaders.

CSIS

EDF is a member of the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a bipartisan, nonprofit organization which provides strategic insights and policy solutions to decision-makers in government, international institutions, the private sector, and civil society.

EEI

EDF is a member of the Edison Electric Institute, an association of United States shareholder-owned electric companies, international affiliates and industry associates worldwide.

IEE

EDF is a member of the Institute for Electric Efficiency (IEE), a program of the Edison Foundation dedicated to advance energy efficiency practices and demand-response among electric utilities.

EPRI

EDF has long been involved in applied research programs, working with the EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute), an independent, nonprofit center for public interest energy and environmental research. The EPRI brings together the sector’s leading experts to work collaboratively on solutions to the challenges of electric power.

INPO

The Institute of Nuclear Power Operations aims to foster a culture of nuclear and industrial safety for the operation of nuclear power plants. EDF has one representative working there on a full-time basis

MIT Energy Initiative

EDF is an associate member of the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI), which mobilizes the research vision and resources of MIT to foster new research and education in science & technology solutions to address global energy needs and challenges.

NEI

EDF is a member of the Nuclear Energy Institute, an organization whose goal is to foster and encourage the continued safe utilization and development of nuclear energy.

RFF

EDF is a member of Resources For the Future (RFF), a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that conducts independent research on environmental, energy, and natural resource issues.

USEA

EDF works with the United States Energy Association (USEA), which is the U.S. Member Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC). USEA members (public and private energy-related organizations, corporations, and government agencies) collaborate to increase the understanding of energy issues, both domestically and internationally.
